What can I do to make extra money?

What can I do to make extra money? I was thinking this about 12 months ago. I thought, "if I'm thinking this, then other people are too!" That's when I decided to start blogging about my experience.

Deciding what's the best way of making extra money for you
Everything is possible, right? But not everything will be suitable for you. Unless you are willing to change or train to learn a new skill, some of the opportunities out there might not be for you. My decision matrix below will help you decide.

Making money online or offline
Firstly you can decide whether you want to be stuck indoors behind a computer screen in your precious time, or "out there" or both. I prefer both because my businesses are international and I use the computer to connect with other people around the world.

Changing yourself to improve your chances and make more money
Of course the best people and the most successful people are flexible or coachable - willing to learn. When Donald Trump wrote his book about getting rich, he chose to write it with an expert on the subject, Robert Kiyosaki. The resulting book, "Why we want you to be rich" was an international bestseller.

You don't need a JOB to make money - like me, use a PIG instead!

Ok, you are probably thinking a JOB is very important. It is - do not give up your day job, but supplement it with a PIG.

So firstly let's define the terms.

JOB = Just Obey Boss
A job is good, it's part of a classic pyramid scheme where your boss earns more than you. You do what your boss says and you get money, day in, day out, until you quit by retiring then you don't have so much money anymore. If you are in a JOB it's fine, but just remember if a JOB is the only source of income you have, you are usually one paycheck (pay cheque) away from poverty.


PIG = Perpetual Income Generator
Most people who are rich, (i.e. do what they want, have what they want) have money or people working for them. They have a PIG which makes them money when they are asleep, awake, on holiday, picking their nose, whatever. Whatever they do they earn money because they have a PIG.

How can you get a PIG ? - well if your parents were rich and they passed money on to you, you probably have that money working for you. However for most of us on the planet, we were not born with a silver spoon in their mouths. Most people that are rich built their PIG, often from scratch. Many millionaires today that have money and or people working for them, not only built their PIG from scratch, but did it from a worse off position than you.
